THE MAKING OF FLIP BOOK «THE TALES OF TIAN» WITH FLIPHTML5

I am proud to share with you the Preview’s making of my latest book “I RACCONTI DI TIAN“(The Tales of Tian).

When I finished to write this collection of short poems I published as paperbacks but I also liked to give a preview of it. So, I created the preview as a flipping book using the renowned software FLIPHTML5.

Why do I use FLIPHTML5 and not another software? During the years I tested several software then I stuck with FLIPHTML5 since it was also called with different name too.

It’s easy to use for having a simple flipbook as well as can be very powerful to get a complex multimedia book such the case of MAPINIKI, the 296-paged book, dedicated to Ashaninka-Yanesha indigenous people, featuring 75 video-clips, 30 audio-clip, 100 custom buttons, music background and several external links.

But let’s see how easily you can create such a lovely flipbook like this.

FLIPHTML5 has several plans but it is free to use and to publish online in the dedicated market which has several Pros too.
I’m using the Platinum version on my desktop PC, so the first thing to do is to login and then import your pdf, odt, docx, ppt and others file extension, then customize it from the company logo to book title and more at your will.

I prepared my book as common PDF file and Imported it, then I found myself in this page

As you can see it’s very easy to find what do you need, so let’s go on.

First I select Template Tab (1) then double click the chosen template, I used the Gorgeous one (2).

At this point wait for the changing of Template, then decide the aspect and other essential characteristics of your book using the Settings tab (4). You can digit your item to change in the search field or scrolling the bar, as well as you can import previous book settings already used before. In any case to see the changes must click onto the Apply Changes (5) so to refresh the preview, then save the settings to recall later on.

ADDING RICH CONTENT

Using FLIPHTML5 it’s easy to add rich content either you are using Edit Pages or Animation Editor (8)

As I want to add an external link to some picture of the book (7), I decided to use the Edit Pages that it’s easier and quicker to use. Here’s the simple use of it.

Click onto the Link button (10) and drag the cursor around the chosen picture to create a rectangle. Then using the Settings in the right column can modify the link features and clicking onto the Add Action (9) you choose the desired action among the various options offered.

I used Open Link (A) then set the URL in Link (B) and choose where to open it using Open in menu.

Click OK, then click onto the Save and exit button.

At this point you should be in front of a similar screen. Remind to save your project using Save Project As (12) or Save Project, depending if you already saved it before.

Check your book and if you are satisfied then have to make it ready to be distributed using the Publish to Local or Upload Online buttons (13).
