Herman Melville, in his novel Moby Dick, states that ‘A man, once upright, will sooner or later inevitably end up heading towards the water.’ Similarly, I can say with certainty that: Whoever sets foot in Africa will invariably seek contact with animals, even if only for a moment!
Because it is the energy of nature that attracts us and guides us inexorably towards our true spirit of coexistence. A dormant but indomitable memory of when we were all brothers and equals, speaking the same language even with the stones and mountains.
So, on my trip to Uganda, I found myself walking among the large animal enclosures in Entebbe.
The interactive version of the book will feature a series of video clips showing examples of these fantastic animals.
